He received both his bachelors and medical degree at the University of Virginia. Completed a transitional internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. SAUSHEC Emergency Medicine residency was completed at Brooke Army Medical Center. And finally, he completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at UC Irvine in Southern California. Serves as the Program Director for the Emergency & Critical Care Ultrasound and Point-of-care Ultrasound Physician Assistant Fellowship at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). His areas of interest are symptoms-based uses of bedside ultrasound, automated ultrasound intepretation, and ultrasound use by advanced practice practitioners.
